Exploring Guadalajara

Guadalajara, also known as, “La Perla Tapatia”, is the origin of all quintessential Mexico…. Mariachi and Tequila! And in more modern times, known as Mexico’s “silicon valley.”

This city means a lot to us! Both of Olga’s parents (Ramon and Olga) were born here and Olga spent three months here after graduating from law school. It is a city full of rich culture and food. If you have time, we definitely encourage you to explore it! We recommend 2-3 days here so you can really take in the city.

What to See…

Where to Eat…

Mexico truly is a culinary experience! Besides the amazing people and culture, the food and drinks are what keeps us coming back. If you are staying at the Hyatt we recommend any of the restaurants that are walking distance. Below are some restaurant options some walking distance, others easily accessible by Uber.

Breakfast: Santo Coyote, Mercado Andares (multiple casual options), Boulangerie Central, Pa’l Real, Piggy Back,

Lunch: La Docena, La Vaca Argentina, Mercado Andares, Campomar, Mexia, Baluda

Dinner: Hueso, La Docena, Mochomos, Santo Coyote, Sonora Prime, La Vaca Argentina, Campomar, Mexia, Baluga

*We strongly encourage reservations be made in advance (especially for lunch and dinner) as it is difficult to walk in at most restaurants.
